Next week, David Letterman will say goodbye to late-night television. The final three broadcasts of the The Late Show with David Letterman are set to air Monday through Wednesday (May 18-20) starting at 11:35 p.m. ET each night.
CBS announced that the guest list for the final three shows will feature Tom Hanks, Bill Murray and Pearl Jam‘s Eddie Vedder.
Both Hanks (making his 60th appearance on the show) and Vedder are scheduled for the May 18 broadcast, with Vedder leading a special music performance backed by Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra. Murray, who was Letterman’s very first guest when the Late Show debuted on CBS on Aug, 30, 1993, will stop by on Tuesday. It will be his 44th appearance.
The guest list for the final show on Wednesday, May 20, remains a secret. According to CBS it “will be an hour filled with surprises, memorable highlights, the show’s final Top Ten List and more.”
